1931-2005 - R.C. Gorman is considered by many to be the premiere Indian artists. The New York Times quoted him as being the Picasso of American Indian Art. The deceptively simple, lyrical lines of his drawings provoked the New York Times to title R. C. Gorman as "The Picasso of American Indian Art." R. C. Gorman's work, especially the lithographs, drawings and bronzes, is collected as often by lovers of contemporary art as by those specializing in Indian Art.   R.C. Gorman passed away on November 5th, 2005,
