Broyhill French Provincial Dresser with Mirror, c. 1960s
Details
An elegant vintage dresser and coordinating mirror likely by Broyhill or Caldwell, dating to circa 1960s. The only marking we have for these pieces is a factory production punch card in which the name of the manufacturer was cut off, leaving only "LL Furniture Company, Lenoir, NC". A little research indicates that it was either Broyhill or Caldwell Furniture Company, Lenoir, NC and both made furniture of this style in that time period. If my memory serves me right, Broyhill was particularly popular in Miami at the time so my hunch points at Broyhill. Designed in the timeless French Provincial style, the piece features graceful proportions and classic European-inspired detailing characteristic of the period. Offering nine drawers with generous storage along with a substantial matching mirror, this versatile piece works beautifully as a traditional bedroom dresser or could be repurposed as a sophisticated dressing table or statement storage piece. Its romantic French styling pairs beautifully with French Country, Traditional, Grandmillennial, and collected interiors, while the quality craftsmanship associated with Bernhardt makes it an appealing choice for both designers and vintage furniture enthusiasts. A handsome and functional vintage set with timeless French-inspired character. Please see other pieces in this collection in separate listings.
